High protein pizza cake

This high protein pizza cake is super fluffy, moist and cheesy. You can easily leave the cheese (or some of the cheese) out to get an option with less calories and fat. It’s still super delicious.

Ingredients:

For the dough:
500g flour (or 400g flour + 100g Sunflower Protein)
250ml oat milk
75g butter
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 pack fresh bakers yeast
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
Salt
Pepper
For the sauce:
500g sieved tomatoes
1 red onion
3 tsp tomato paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 pack sunflower mince (78g)
1 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp oregano
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch cumin
1 pinch ginger
Oil
Other fillings:
150g cheese
50g feta
1/2 onion
2 tsp pine nuts

Instructions:

  1. Heat the milk until it‘s lukewarm. Add the yeast and the sugar, stir well and let it sit until bubbles appear
  2. Melt the butter
  3. Add all ingredients for the dough to your food processor and knead it for 1-2 minutes. Let it sit for at least 1 hour
  4. Heat some oil in a pan. Chop the onion, add it to the pan and fry it until it‘s translucent.
  5. Prepare the sunflower mince according to the instructions on the package. Drain the water and add the mince to the pan. Fry it for 5 minutes
  6. Add the other ingredients for the sauce and let it simmer for 10 minutes
  7. Flour your working space, add the dough and roll it out. Add the fillings to the dough and roll it up. Cut it into buns, put them into cake tin and let it sit for 5-10 minutes
  8. You could also make pizza buns with this recipe. If you leave some space between each bun, you will get separate buns and if you put them close to each other they combine into a whole cake because the yeast in the dough.
  9. Bake them for 20-25 minutes on 200°C
